In need of some game day inspiration? These easy game day snack ideas will fill your belly with deliciousness! Plus, this zesty fry sauce recipe will be a touchdown for the whole family, kids included!
For us, game day is all about simplicity.
We want to spend time with our family and friends, not slaving away in the kitchen. So when it comes to snacks for the big game or any game day, we opt for easy.
Don’t get me wrong – we don’t sacrifice taste or quality. Snacks are a huge part of our game day celebrations. But we tend to go for make ahead dishes or frozen snacks that just need some time in the air fryer.
So today, I thought I’d share some of my favorite snacks for game day along with a delicious recipe for Zesty Fry Sauce!
Easy Game Day Snacks
Finger food is our favorite choice when it comes to our game day snacking. It’s an easy game day snack that nearly everyone will enjoy, even the little ones. Plus, most finger foods make for great grazing which is a fun way to enjoy the food throughout the whole game.
Some of our favorites include:
- Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage – served as is or as mini skewers with cheese
- Ball Park® Hot Dogs – cut up and poked with a toothpick for easy serving and dipping.
- Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips – as is or cut into small strips and poked with a toothpick similar to the hot dogs.
- Tyson® Any’tizers ® Snacks – their Chicken Fries, Wyngz, and Popcorn Chicken make delicious and easy game day snacks.
- State Fair® Corn Dogs – served as is or cut into chunks and poked with a toothpick similar to the hot dogs.
All of these snacks are kid and adult friendly which is a big win for us. Plus, they’re all super simple to prepare. You can throw them in just before the game or even during and still not miss a play.
What really brings these snacks together for me though is our Zesty Fry Sauce. Easy game day snacks are good and all, but they need the right dippers.
We used to have a ton of dips out, dirtying a ton of dishes and trying to make sure we had enough of everything (ranch, ketchup, mustard, etc.) Now? We have zesty fry sauce. Sometimes we’ll pull out the rest, but this is our go-to dip.
If you’re unfamiliar with fry sauce, it’s pretty simple:
Mayo + Ketchup = Fry Sauce.
It’s pretty tasty, but for me – a little bland. So we stepped it up a notch and made this zesty fry sauce with some peppers. It takes just a few minutes to whip together so pairs perfectly with the ease of the rest of your game day snacks!
Zesty Fry Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Mayo
- 1/2 Cup Ketchup
- 3-4 Tbsp Mini Sweet Peppers Diced
- 1 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tsp White Pepper
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
-
Combine all of your ingredients and mix thoroughly.
-
Serve cold.
