But today is back to the windy, chilly temperatures that the Midwest can usually guarantee in Fall. That means it’s back to craving some indulgent foods and spending more time indoors. Which is exactly what these Banana Ghost Pudding Cups are perfect for! Days spent indoors, indulging in one of my favorite childhood treats.
From time to time, I like to mix other things in. Some of my favorite items include:
- Fresh Fruit
- Reddi-Wip
- Graham Crackers
- Assorted Nuts
It can get pretty extensive if I feel like it, but I know I’ve only scratched the surface with these mix-ins. So I went a little deeper and created the perfect Halloween treat that’s easy to make with the whole family with some of my favorite mix-ins: Chocolate Covered Banana Ghost Pudding Cups!

- 5 Medium/Large Ripe Bananas
- 10 Chocolate Super Snack Packs
- 20 Oz of White Candy Making Wafers
- Reddi-Wip
- Black Writing Gel for Decorating
- Sprinkles
-
Chop the bananas in half. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and lay all of the banana halves on this. Place in the freezer until frozen (approximately 2-3 hours.)
-
Once the bananas are near frozen, start melting the candy making wafers. (We did it in a double-boiler over low heat, but you can also use the microwave.)
-
Continue to melt the candy making wafers and stir regularly until fully melted and smooth.
-
Remove the bananas from the freezer. Place half of a banana in and coat with chocolate. Use a fork to scoop out, loosely shake off the excess chocolate, and place on fresh wax paper on the cookie sheet. Repeat for the other halves.
-
Once all banana halves are laid out, place them in the freezer until the chocolate is solid (approximately 30 minutes.)
-
Remove the bananas and draw on the ghost eyes and mouth with the black writing gel.
-
Place the bananas in the pudding cups against the back edge so they stand up.
-
Spread Reddi-Wip around the edge and shake sprinkles over the top of them.

I’d love to know: how do you enjoy your snack pack pudding cups?
