2017 is just around the corner and it’s time for me to come up with my new year’s resolutions. I can already tell that they’ll be a lot different this year now that we have Lily here. Every year I strive to be better, but this year, I want to really focus on my resolutions. Not come up with them and forget about them by the time Spring rolls around.
I really want to change how I eat in the new year. The food choices I make, the meals we prepare and the way I think about food. 2017 is the year we’ll start Lily on solid and I want to have healthy habits well underway.
Two of the things I plan to do to alter my food habits are:
Look for more sources of Non-GMO foods
Seek out sustainable energy foods
Luckily, I found both in one of my favorite energy bars: Clif Bar I’ve loved them for years, but the new Nut Butter Filled Bar is SO good. Not only do they taste great, but perfect for a boost of energy, especially since I don’t drink caffeine anymore. These bars are perfect for our outdoor adventures, biking, hiking, kayaking – you name it, I loved having these on hand because of how protein filled it is.
Clif Bar delivers sustained energy with nutritious ingredients. It’s USDA organic, low glycemic, and provides 7 gram of plant-based protein on top of being non-GMO. Not only that, but it’s made with delicious and creamy peanut, hazelnut or almond butters. What’s not to love? Want to learn more about Non GMO?GMOs are estimated to show up in approximately 70% of processed foods in supermarkets. They can also lead to the increased use of toxic chemicals, herbicides and pesticides in conventional farming.
