It’s been awhile, huh?
The absence was unintended and unplanned, but I’m back and super excited about it. At the beginning of the pandemic, I felt like I didn’t have the words to adequately describe how we were handling things or how I was a feeling. I went into creative mode and instead, focused my energy on building things and adding to our shop.
And while I still don’t have all the words to sum up how I feel with all of this (I doubt I ever will, honestly) – I’ve missed writing and sharing in this space. And I want to bring some new life to it by rebranding and adding in some more awesome content.
While Hello Nature is still fitting, I felt like it never fully encompassed what I wanted to share here. Which is while I’ve rebranded to Bird’s Eye Meeple!
What does the name mean?
Bird’s Eye Maple is a rare characteristic of hard maple trees. It’s really hard to find, but it’s a really pretty piece of wood that’s super unique.
Meeples are the little people or figures (usually wooden) used in the more modern board games as your player piece. (If you look at the logo, the little guy in the doorway is a common meeple.)
Combine these, add in the idea of a bird’s eye view, and you have Bird’s Eye Meeple.
How does this affect the content?
It does and it doesn’t. There will still be lots of nature, homesteading type stuff. Then we’ll add in board games and even some wood DIY projects.
Then we’ll tie it all together by talking about how we use play and interest-based learning to thrive as a family.
How do you follow us?
If you were already following us, you don’t have to do anything!
All links and social media has been switched over to Bird’s Eye Meeple. Going to hellonatureblog.com will now redirect you to birdseyemeeple.com and going to birdseyemeeple.com/shop will bring you to our Etsy shop. The only thing that hasn’t fully updated is Facebook – the Facebook page link has switched, but the name hasn’t because of their guidelines. Hopefully that will be resolved soon!
If you weren’t already following us, you can find us at @birdseyemeeple on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook.
Thanks so much for your continued support!
